We offer a wide range of services here at Blue Water Systems, but Borehole Drilling has always been at the heart of what we do.
Over the last 10 years, we have helped both domestic and commercial clients to realise the benefits of private water supplies. In that time we have worked with everyone from public sector organisations to multi-national corporations and even isolated households.
And we are proud to say that no matter how big or small the requirement we always maintain the highest standards for customer service.
What is a borehole and what can it do?
Not only does drilling boreholes help to provide sustainable water and ground heating sources for both residential and commercial use, but boreholes can also be used in environmental assessments, construction and more.![]() |
Borehole Drilling Services In Zimbabwe |
If you think your household, business or initiative could benefit from a borehole, get in touch with our team today to find out more about what we can do for you.
Drilling a borehole requires precision and expertise. It involves the creation of a deep, narrow hole in the ground. There are several different ways to drill a borehole and the best method for drilling often depends on the location of the site itself.
For a water borehole, we need to make sure that there is a viable groundwater source to tap into, which is what we call an aquifer. This is a rock that has water held within – water that could well have been there for hundreds or even thousands of years.
By drilling into it, the borehole works with the pressure from below the aquifer and allows you to access the water.

Five Facts About Borehole Drilling That You Need To Take Note Of:
1. Know Your Borehole Casings:The Preferred Borehole Casing In Zimbabwe Is Class 9 and 10 (Pressure Classes.)This is because Class 9 and Class 10 Casings are more collapse resistant. The strength of a Casing is often described as collapse resistance.
2. Borehole Drilling Depth: The exact depth, of where the water is located, cannot be established by the drilling contractor nor the Water Surveyor (Borehole Siter).
3. The Is No 100% Guarantee On Water: It is important to note that it is never a 100% guarantee that any hole will yield water, the amount and water quality can also not be guaranteed by the drilling contractor and water surveyor.

5. Know The Risks: The risk of the borehole drilling lies with the property owner. The client will still be liable for the drilling costs irrespective of a borehole yielding water or not.
